YESHUA, BREAD OF LIFE

He could have been born in
Jerusalem, the city "Founded on Peace";
He could have been born in
Bethsaida, for "Fishing House" it means;
He could have been born on
mount Zion, the "Joy of the Whole Earth";
But He chose little
Bethlehem, "House of Bread," to be His place of birth.
Yeshua, born in Bethlehem,
"House of Bread" by Micah
foretold;
Yeshua on the manger hay,
The Bread of Life to make
us whole.
He could have invited the
royal court, to show how much He was worth;
He could have invited the
Jewish priests to attend the Messiah's birth;
He could have invited the
multitudes who would one day hear Him speak;
But He chose to invite lowly
shepherds who were tending helpless sheep.
Yeshua, born in Bethlehem,
"House of Bread" by Micah
foretold;
Yeshua on the manger hay,
The Bread of Life to make
us whole.
He could have been placed on
a lampstand, to show He was the Light;
He could have been placed on
a royal throne, as a symbol of His might;
He could have been placed on
a bookstand, as the Word that we would read;
But He chose to be placed in
a manger, a trough where animals feed.
