THE BIBLE DIET:
Give thanks and eat!
Ye shall not
therefore oppress one another;
but thou shalt
fear thy God: for I am the LORD
your God. Wherefore ye shall do my statutes,
and keep my judgments, and do them; and
ye shall dwell in the land in safety. And
the land shall yield her fruit, and ye
shall eat your fill, and dwell
therein in safety.
Leviticus 25:17-19
Is anything more oppressive than a "diet"?! God says
when we obey Him, we will eat our FILL and dwell in safety. If
your diet does not allow you to eat until you are satisfied,
scrap that diet! But we may need to learn the difference between
being satisfied and being stuffed.
Little children eat until they are satisfied. But we
teach them to eat beyond satisfaction. Are you a "member of the
clean plate club"? Cancel that membership now! Once you are
satisfied--that is, not hungry any more--stop eating.
Let it go to waste,
rather than to waist!
The righteous
eateth to the satisfying of his soul:
but the belly of the wicked shall want.
Proverbs 13:25
Do you have cravings that are not satisfied? Perhaps it
is a spiritual problem, rather than a food problem. Take the
problem to God and ask Him to show you what is really wrong.
Perhaps the vacuum in your "stomach" is really a vacuum in your
soul. Let God fill it.
